In "A Grave Mistake", in order to win the election for president of the Mortician's Club, Lucy talks Lincoln into joining the club and places the winning vote on her. The next day when Ricky the Rooster passes away, Lincoln and Lucy attempt to hold his funeral, but things do not go as planned, leading Lucy to apologize to the members of the club and they help plan a more proper funeral for Ricky. Howard and Harold McBride are hosting the Royal Woods Talent Competition. As the only person to not have a worthy talent, Lincoln enlists Clyde to help him find a talent only to end up competing with Clyde in yodeling until they compete with Thor Torkelson.
Unfortunately, Lincoln ends up getting detention, which Lana apologizes to him for. In "Changing the Baby" he invited her to play in ghost hunting, but she refused by explaining they are her friends. Said poem also appears to be inspired by him since it includes the phrase "man with a plan", which is what Lincoln calls himself at times.
They soon learn why Luan considers Mr. Grouse difficult to prank as they end up in a prank war with him. Meanwhile, Lisa plans to join an after-school baseball team as Lynn finds her competing in a spelling version of it that involves getting the spelling of a word right which is overseen by Miss Allegra. Lynn offers to help Lisa by coaching her spelling baseball team with Lynn Sr.'s help. Lincoln and Clyde plan a catapult system for Lincoln to participate so that they can beat Liam's record. Meanwhile, Rita finds out that Lynn Sr. let Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, and Lily stay up all night to watch The Vampires of Melancholia.
While one of them (Lucille) first appears as a ghost in the film, the rest of them appear in ghost form at the end of the film to praise Angus for taking on the responsibility as the new Duke of Loud Loch Loud.
