Just the signage, a subtle shift in wood color and a few bar-specific decorations indicate you're actually passing three distinct bars. Similar to the penthouse suites are 10 two-bedroom, 546-square-foot family suites, which sleep up to six passengers in two bedrooms. For a ship this size, the squeaky clean Pulse Fitness Center is surprisingly big and has generous opening hours of 6 am to 11 p.m. Technogym equipment is spaced out, and treadmills line the long wall of windows. Newer ships have significantly shrunk their studio size, so an older ship has its advantages.

Norwegian Jewel, like all of the Norwegian fleet, is built with families in mind. It offers amenities like interconnecting cabins, children's menus in the main dining rooms, a kids-only pool with a waterslide (though we saw adults in there) and two free kids clubs. Activities designed for the entire family to enjoy together are offered throughout the day. PoolsNorwegian Jewel has four hot tubs and two regular pools, all on Deck 12.

Ship Overview
During the 2-week drydock 2018 in Singapore (Oct 22 - Nov 5), all the 1188 passenger staterooms were upgraded with new HDTVs and USB outlets, new carpeting, furniture and artworks. In 2020, NCL recategorized fleetwide the Mini-Suite cabin category, renaming it to "Club Balcony Suite" and adding free perks. The change didn't affect the staterooms' deck locations or cabin numbers.

Jewel's Bora Bora Health Spa and Beauty Salon are managed by Mandara Spa, which fuses eastern and western-style procedures for advanced massage, facials, and more. The sports deck offers the chance for playing basketball, volleyball and tennis, and the Body Waves Fitness Center features state-of-the-art equipment, a hydrotherapy pool, and classes. The ships are 294 metres (964 ft 7 in) long and 32.2 metres (105 ft 8 in) wide, having 1,188 passenger cabins, with a capacity for 2,669 passengers. The teen program, called Entourage Teen's Club, is for 13- to 17-year olds. Inside the club are a juice bar, gaming consoles and Club Underground, a New York subway-themed disco.

The photo shop was recently digitized, so passengers can now review all their pictures on computer monitors; print copies are kept in binders along the wall, as well. After implementing the new service charge, NCL upgraded the room service menu, adding more hot food items for Breakfast and a wider food & drinks selection (available for ordering 24 hours a day). Norwegian Jewel comes alive at night with music and dancing. Bar City and the Crystal Atrium offer live music, including jazz, piano and covers of popular music, while the two lounges also feature music but add space for dancing. Bathrooms are perfectly sized for one person at a time, with separate toilet and shower areas, and they have ample shelf space for toiletries.
